The heavy metal, or caste iron saucepan stands are immersed in a hot caustic tank for half to a full hour to remove all the baked on grease, before any remaining residues are removed manually with steel wool and through rinsing.
Steel wool is used to thoroughly remove thick or carbonised grease from the gas burner steel surrounds.
The burner caps are also immersed in the caustic tank for a period before any residual grease is removed with steel wool before being thoroughly rinsed.The control knobs are removed where practical and grease removed using effective but bio-friendly products in the domestic kitchen environment.
This are also used on the surface of the hob, taking great care not to scratch brushed steel surfaces with non-abrasive methods. For enamel surfaces blades or steel wool may be used where the level of cleaning requires it to achieve results almost as good as new, with a final polish bringing to a virtual show-room shine.
